Hikinoro Oy is a family company owned by Jari and Riitta Mäkelä, and Katja Mäkelä-Dunsmuir. Company was founded in 1982, and factory is located at Vaajakoski in Central Finland.

Hikinoro manufactures cellulose based insole material and related products with specially designed cardboard machines in continuous three-shift basis.

Hikinoro's customers are located in over 134 countries. One fifth of the production is directed to EU market and the remaining is divided between Middle- and South America, African countries, Middle-East and Asian countries.
